Yapci Ramos “Red-Hot”

The exhibition presents one work, an 18-channel video installation, which may be the most ambitious production we have brought forth in the almost 4 years since the Gallery opened. As you watch Ramos’s naked, wet body move across the screens, writing and washing away her most intimate thoughts; you begin to see the universality of her experience, the coming of age of an artist after a two-decade-long career, and the beginning of a new era.

In a post-Weinstein time, this is both an homage to the great feminists of the past and a work in solidarity with today’s movement.
