This event has ended.

Figureworks presents Fulvia Zambon’s latest series of paintings in her second solo exhibition with Figureworks.

Since Fulvia’s last exhibition, she has been developing a striking series of oil paintings that highlight figures with nature. Some appear more direct with an elderly man feeding seagulls on a beach or a young woman playfully focused on her beloved cat. Other paintings are more reminiscent of earlier work, with undercurrents of childhood mystery surrounding the subject. An inquisitive child in a baby carriage (a frequently used object) reaches toward curious cats emerging from a foreboding landscape. Each exquisitely painted work draws the viewer into an intimate place, whether peacefully or uneasily.

Fulvia attended the Accademia Albertina in Turin, the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, (studied with Lydia Silvestri) and advanced training at the Art Students League in New York City (studied portrait painting with Ronald Sherr). She has exhibited extensively including an upcoming exhibition this fall, Architetture del Silenzio, Campo Bandiera e Moro, Venezia, Italy, curated by Anna Caterina Bellati. Former exhibitions include Un’Idea di Mare, Dialogs between Art and Science, in conjunction with the 54th edition of the Venice Biennale and 68th Venice Film Festival, Venezia, Italy, Open XII: Venice, Italy, In conjunction of the 66 Edition of the Venice Film Festival, and 53 Venice Biennale, curate by Anna Caterina Bellati and Paolo De Grandis. Paolo Tonin Gallery in Turin -TAG (opening of 18 galleries in conjunction with the Winter Olympic Games), a solo show at Headquarter, Hollywood, CA, and a celebrated group show at Museum of Permanente, Milan Italy, Premio Arte in 2004. Her work is in many private and public collections.
