This spring at Blue Mountain Gallery Michael Chelminski presents oil paintings and watercolors. The show is accompanied by a catalog with an essay by Margaret Grimes.

The paintings span nearly a decade during which the work, dominated by contrasting themes of forest and sea, slowly evolved into a semi abstract language of marks. These are paintings, originating in the studio, where the organic, graphic lines of trees, grasses, underbrush and water are built upon sources both from memory and onsite watercolors.
