Shunji Sakuyama (b. 1940 Harbin, China) is a Japanese painter and printmaker raised in Osaka who has been working in Brooklyn since the 1960’s. His work has been internationally exhibited and is included in numerous museum collections, including The Brooklyn Museum and The Museum of the City of New York. Shunji splits his time between his studio in Brooklyn and in Asakusa, Tokyo.
