Recently revealed in the 11,500 year old remains of a baby girl in Alaska is new DNA of a lost Native American ancestor, the Ancient Beringians. The Beringians existed in the west and interior of Alaska, while the ancestors of modern Native Americans continued south around 15,700 years ago. The Westest of known human kind.
With imagery ranging from the lone cowboy to the West Coast bather, Geoff McFetridge’s exhibition uses such themes in his own interpretation of the modern Westest.
This is Geoff McFetridge’s, (b. Calgary 1971, Canada) second solo exhibition with Half Gallery. He lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
