The second edition of Pen + Brush In Print examines places where “fiction by women” overlaps with “women’s fiction.” This issue features the work of Marissa Anne Ayala, Silvia Bonilla, Enid Harlow, Carolyn Jack, Katelyn Kopenhaver, Tina Parker, and Nahid Rachlin. Silvia, Carolyn, Katelyn, and Nahid will read at the launch party; you are cordially invited to join us (and them) to toast the new edition!

Also at Pen + Brush this fall is our In Print Lounge, a space designed for writing and writing-as-art, and featuring an installation by Michela Martello. We have transformed our downstairs gallery into an environment where the words, quotes, poems and writing by women – still neglected and even discouraged in today’s cultural landscape – define the canon. We hope that the lounge will encourage you to reconsider your assumptions about how the written word can be experienced within a physical space, and (of course) to reconsider your assumptions of what women’s writing is or can be. Join us this month and next to pull up a chair, read a book from our women-authored library, or pick up your copy of Pen + Brush In Print.
