IAM Gallery presents an exhibition of linked by Rio Nakano.

Rio Nakano’s linked emphasizes the idea of Japanese traditional scroll painting of “choju-giga,” historical scrolls created in 12th century in Japan and often referred as animal-person caricatures. He tries to find invisible connection between humans and animals - especially he sees an innocent animal in human. For this exhibition, he focuses on the concept of dog by conveying the message of loyalty, fragility and inner strength.

Nakano has been exhibited widely and received awards in Japan. This is his first solo exhibition in New York.
