This event has ended.

Editions/Artists’ Books Fair (E/AB Fair) presents its 20th edition running. E/AB Fair will celebrate two decades of contemporary art in print with a private Collectors Preview followed by a ticketed Vernissage, programming and a new artist prize.

E/AB Fair, a much anticipated cultural happening, will feature 50 publishers from the United States, Canada, and Europe. Renowned as a destination for discovery, E/AB Fair will showcase new works from private and institutional print studios working with established and emerging contemporary artists. The works represent a wide range of printmaking techniques, from rare and old-world to newly developed processes. E/AB Fair offers collectors, connoisseurs, and curious visitors free access to an international community of artists and publishers.

Committed to fostering the vitality of contemporary artists and publishers, E/AB will announce the recipient of the first Artist Award on Saturday, October 27. The cash prize will be awarded to an emerging artist working in print by a jury of curators, collectors and allied professionals. With the aim of openly sharing ideas and information between producers and patrons, E/AB will host two public conversations during the fair -

Friday, October 26 at 3pm - Janice Oresman, Art Collector, and Jennifer Farrell, Metropolitan Museum of Art Associate Curator of Modern and Contemporary Print on Collecting Prints

Saturday, October 27 at 3pm - Saya Woolfalk, Artist, and Dexter Wimberly, Independent Curator on Print & Politics

“We are honored and excited to present the 20th edition of the E/AB Fair, and continue to forge ahead with new energy and ideas. This milestone anniversary speaks to the importance of fostering new and contemporary achievements in the art of print. We are proud to continue the tradition of complimentary admission over the fair weekend. At a time when the world seems to be contracting, it is a privilege to be able to openly share new work and new ideas with the public.” explains Dusica Kirjakovic, Executive Director, Lower East Side Printshop.

Editions/Artists’ Books Fair has been New York’s premier showcase for the discovery of new and contemporary prints, multiples, and artists’ books since its founding in 1998. Renowned for its cultivation of an international community of publishers, E/AB Fair provides a platform for their growth in the art market. Each year, the Fair presents a thoughtfully curated exhibition of works by hundreds of emerging and established artists and an informative program of artist talks.

Founded in 1998 by Susan Inglett of I.C. Editions, in partnership with Brooke Alexander Editions and Printed Matter, the Fair is now presented by the Lower East Side Printshop, a non-profit organization. E/AB Fair provides free admission in order to introduce the broad public to contemporary prints, multiples and artists’ books.

This year’s Fair will gather 50 exhibitors from around the US, Canada, and Europe showing their latest publications at The Tunnel in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood. The Fair will take place October 25 - 28, 2018 during New York’s Print Week, to coincide with IFPDA’s Print Fair, and dozens of special exhibitions, talks, and workshops throughout the city.
