Painted and printed lines transverse the inner universe of the gallery space, where a 7-foot painting and mixed media small works come off the wall.

Solar-powered fans and lights unsettle and illuminate trails of tapestries. Celebratory brilliant yellows, greens, reds of life, of human existence, and of the natural world, at entrance, stretch arms into the gallery. Visual and experiential, the exhibit speaks to earth for what it has become, and what it confronts at this time of climate change.

Fluid, transformational and sustainable, an interplay of colors that is Earth concerned…A heartbeat, the ripping of earth’s heart is at stake, a beating of the light and the air in this space, with red, orange, purple in lines that extend through space, and blue of life, river water, the ephemeral breath, blue, the seeing/non-seeing in society with our environmental care and non-care.

Environmental degradation causes disconnection and breaks not only the ability to commune and community, but forces mass migration. These conditions bring a breakdown in the stability, cohesion, and sustainability of a community and ecosystems, and the inability to comprehend our own precarious survival. - Columbia Fiero
