This event has ended.

From 1986 to 2016 Chris Buck has made writers, celebrities, filmmakers, musicians and even Presidents “Uneasy”. On February 10th Krause Gallery will show you those photographs along with his new published book “Uneasy”. Join us to see what 30 years looks like from Bryan Cranston in his underwear to Phillip Seymour Hoffman to Trump and his many faces.

Artist Statement:
For any serious photographer their best portraits are ultimately also self-portraits. The discomfort, oddness and frustration in my photographs are the evidence of my uneasiness.

As I’ve grown more mature and more comfortable in my skin I’ve been able to recognize the struggle and vulnerability in my sitters, bringing my work to a point of collaboration with them. Where once I sought conflict with the subjects now we work to build something strange and wonderful together.
