This event has ended.

A.I.R. presents its fourth season of activities on Governors Island. Located at House 4A, Nolan Park, the program will include exhibitions, artist talks, performances, screenings, and will host the inaugural A.I.R. Summer Residency.

Trust is in decline. A simple search in Google trends shows that the use of the word in the United States is at its lowest point in the last five years. Taken on Trust looks to renew the conversation about real, relationship-based trust and the labor required to achieve it. The works selected for the exhibition explore what are the practices that determine and develop relationships of trust between artists, subjects, helpers, partners, and audiences.

Taken on Trust presents together for the first time the work of the 2016-2017 A.I.R. Fellowship artists: Manal Abu-Shaheen, Elizabeth Hoy, Eleanor King, MaryKate Maher, Alison Owen, and Naomi Elena Ramirez.

Artist talks will take place on:
Saturday, June 17th at 3pm: Manal Abu-Shaheen and MaryKate Maher
Saturday, June 24th at 3pm: Elizabeth Hoy, Alison Owen, and Naomi Elena Ramirez
