“Signs of Reign” will feature distinguished objects from the Edo, Meiji, Taisho, Showa and Heisei periods.
As artworks evocative of aristocratic patronage, regal themes such as chrysanthemums, dragons, court dances, phoenix, and dragonflies are represented, including those for Imperial presentation.
