Theodore:Art presents Scooter LaForge – Everything Is Going to Be OK. There will be a special opening reception featuring a performance by Jorge Clar and a special installation by Faye Scott-Farrington of the Ate Gallery. The exhibition will showcase unique jewelry created for Scooter by Madly MADE, and the entire show will be styled by the legendary Gazelle.

Scooter LaForge lives and works in New York City. His work has been featured at the Leslie-Lohman Museum in New York, the Friedrichshof Museum in Austria, and Spritmuseum/The Absolut Art Collection in Sweden. LaForge’s solo show, How to Create a Monsterpiece, at the Howl! Happening Gallery in New York, was included on Autre magazine’s list of top ten exhibitions of 2015. He has had solo shows in the recent past at 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco and Munch Gallery in New York.

The artist has collaborated several times with Belgian fashion designer Walter Van Bierendonck, supplying images incorporated into the fabric of his menswear line. LaForge was commissioned to create garments for Madonna’s performance of her single “Bitch I’m Madonna” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (NBC). Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and Debbie Harry have all worn items from his clothing line. LaForge was commissioned to provide art for an installation at Commes des Garçons founder Rei Kawakubo’s Dover Street Market fashion retail and concept store. The space featured his sculptures, as well as garments incorporating painting. In January 2017, LaForge completed a Dior Fragrances commission for the launch of their new Poison Girl perfume.
