This event has ended.

The Kravets Wehby Gallery presents Act Natural, the debut solo exhibition of artist Allison Zuckerman.

Nothing escapes the wide net that Allison Zuckerman casts through art history. Zuckerman, like a digital slap in the face, blends her work with art historic images. She then prints the hybrids on canvas and aluminum, continuing to embellish them with paint. She respects no boundaries, materials or techniques. She, like Richard Prince, takes images to the Nth degree, from Picasso’s women and Matisse’s cut outs, to Manet’s Le Déjeuner sur l’herbe. No one is safe. Everything is at her disposal. Her raw, in-your-face, unabashedly feminist paintings and sculptures both disturb and seduce

Allison Zuckerman was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from School of the Art Institute of Chicago, earning her MFA in 2015. Her work has been shown at Kuntsforeningen GL STRAND and the SPRING/BREAK Art Fair, which was also her curatorial debut. Zuckerman’s work has been featured in W Magazine, Hyperallergic, Artsy, and Art F City. This will be her first solo exhibition at the Kravets Wehby Gallery.
