Able Fine Art NY Gallery presents “Conversations”, a solo exhibition of artist Young-Ho Seock. The exhibition will be comprised of Young-Ho Seock’s sensory paintings, which take the viewer back to the days before the introduction of electricity. The artist’s application of earth tones in his works is visually intriguing, as they provide an illumination on their own, just as the earthlight does.

Seock, Young-Ho began his artistic career in South Korea. Today, the established artist is held in high esteem as a member of the Korean Fine Art Association. Seeking to share his art with a wider audience, Seock made a debut in 2010 with Able Fine Art NY. He quickly gained momentum in New York and later participated in Art Fairs in the UK and Singapore. With his international popularity, Seock has been successful in sharing a sensory gift with global audiences; as the viewer’s eyes take in the light from his paintings, he or she can feel the soil in their hands or beneath their feet.

The exhibition features his most recent works. Each painting varies slightly in tonality; Seock incorporates a range of shades which, rather than resembling, recreate and allow the audience to feel the soil, sky, and sea. With the flow of his brushstroke, the fluidity of his hand, the viewer can visually touch the earth; Seock becomes the deliverer of the ground on which we stand, the life which we live. One becomes transported back in time when the artificial light did not interfere with the perpetual glow of nature itself; our “humanness” becomes restored.

As stated by Robert C. Morgan, “Young-Ho Seock invents the surface, re-arranges it, in ways that allow the paint to come alive. The color is applied and reapplied layer upon layer, embedding light into the surface that provides an aura of illumination.” Through this exhibition, the artist encourages you to stimulate your senses and engage in conversation with the earth, rediscovering its dazzling light.
