Quailiart of Japan presents 250 Japanese artists to New York. These artists will be shown at Ashok Jain Gallery. The art itself ranges from the simple to the explosive in all media. Some artists long for the past, offering traditional methods of Japanese printmaking and calligraphy. Others aim for today and tomorrow, considering Japan through the lens of graphic arts. Regardless of the artists’ origin, method, or orientation, all pieces from this collection present a story of a modern people in a modern world.
The first exhibition, “Discover the One: Japanese Art in New York” features the works of 50 artists starting on June 14 thru June 18th, 2017. A closing reception will take place on June 18th from 6-8pm. Light finger food, wine, and beer will be served.
