Ed. Varie present Book Launch and Photo Exhibition, A Dry Desert Soaking Up Rain, Soaking Up Sun, by Zach Lewis.

The series of work that comprises A Dry Desert Soaking Up Rain, Soaking Up Sun is the result Lewis’ exploration of a Texas landscape that became the backdrop for a series of murders that indelibly altered the American psyche and still haunts the city of Dallas more than fifty years later. A mild fascination, alongside an examination of the setting of one of history’s most bizarre and tragic events–the assassination of President Kennedy, and subsequent murders of J.D. Tippit and Lee Harvey Oswald– this series of work documents a landscape changed, and left unchanged by time.
