The gallery presents a focused exhibition of Will Barnet works on the theme “Women By The Sea.” Among Barnet’s most identifiable and iconic images, the show is anchored by the 1973 painting Eos, which depicts a lone woman in silhouette looking out to sea. The simplified forms and deep rich colors evoke both the tranquility of solitude and the mysteries of the human spirit. Among the works on paper included is a large size watercolor Vigil (1979), in which three women stand atop a New England widow’s walk looking out to sea.
