“This and That II: A Silent Auction” Exhibition
Blue Mountain Gallery
This event has ended.
Blue Mountain Gallery presents This and That II: A Silent Auction of Tuscan landscapes, intimate still lifes, and figure paintings based on imperfectly and creatively imagined memories of past experiences.
Castellana graduated from Harvard with a degree in biology, briefly attended medical school, then studied at the Art Students League, New York Studio School, and Queens College. His teachers included Edwin Dickinson, Charles Cajori, Mercedes Matter, Esteban Vicente, and Louis Finkelstein. Distracted by the political turmoil of the late 60’s, he studied Marx and economics at the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Research and earned a Ph.D. in economics. He directed the Interdisciplinary Studies program at Fairleigh Dickinson University before retiring. Castellana is a former member and director of the Bowery Gallery. This and That II follows his 2014 solo exhibition at Blue Mountain Gallery, This and That.
