This event has ended.

+81 Gallery New York presents “Art & Music / Neon Concrete”. The first New York Solo show by British Conceptual Graffiti Artist Paris.
Paris invites us to zoom up into the glowing cosmos of a freshly painted wall. Within the tangle of creeper like lines & heiroglyphic symbols, rich in ephervescent vapours.

Through abstract works on canvas and paper (some created live in New York), Paris refers to the rich tapestry of subliminal connections that inform the lyricism in his painting.

Art & Music / Neon Concrete are the raw elements & defining arenas in which Paris creates his work. Sonic snapshots of the pulsing energy of the night. A Psychotropic Wildstyle.

Titles of the paintings will be directly sourced from track names featured in Vol:73 of +81. Titles- Sound & Vision, Stonemilker, If Rah, House of Cards, Paradise.

Paris operates somewhere between scribbles and hieroglyphs , abstract expressionism and graffiti. His work lies at the intersection of Art & Music, The two intricately entwined.

Works by Paris currently held in private collections worldwide include custom painted guitars, drums and pianos he created for the British Indie Rock band Coldplay. He worked closely with the band throughout the recording and promotion of the album Mylo Xyloto.
