“coda” Exhibition

The Front Room

poster for “coda” Exhibition

This event has ended.

“coda” is defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary as “a concluding musical section that is formally distinct from the main structure”. We consider it a fitting bookend to our last 18 years in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Front Room will be moving at the end of the January. We are excited to announce that Front Room is relocating to Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Details will be forthcoming, but first—coda.

“coda” is a last look at the Brooklyn Front Room, its artists, and the space that Front Room has existed in for nearly 20 years. This will be the final exhibition at the gallery’s Williamsburg location. In this exhibition Front Room will open up its whole space, for the visitors to see what’s been lurking behind the closed doors and private rooms. There will be installations and video projections in back rooms never before open to the public presented by Amanda Alic & Ethan Crenson, Thomas Broadbent, and Miho Suzuki

“coda” will feature works by:
Amanda Alic, Sasha Bezzubov, Thomas Broadbent, Ethan Crenson, Phillip Buehler, Alicia Ehni, Peter Fox, Jessica Hargreaves, Sean Hemmerle, Amy Hill, Jesse Lambert, Karen Marston, Mark Masyga, Stephen Mallon, Walker Pickering, Melissa Pokorny, Ross Racine, Ken Ragsdale, Paul Raphaelson, Emily Roz, Philip Simmons, Patricia Smith, Miho Suzuki, Joanne Ungar, Julia Whitney Barnes, Edie Winograde, Kathleen Vance and more.
