Nancy Margolis Gallery presents the opening of Heidi Howard’s second solo exhibition, titled “Woven Traits”.

Heidi Howard’s paintings will be featured in Bette Gordon’s recent film “The Drowning”, which opens on May 10th at IFC Cinema and available on iTunes June 1st. “The Drowning” a psychological thriller based on the novel Border Crossing by award winning British author Pat Barker, begins as psychologist Tom Seymour out walking with his wife Lauren, plunges into an icy river to rescue a young man from drowning. Julia Stiles plays Lauren, an artist/painter and wife of Tom Seymour, the psychologist. Howard’s paintings are seen in Lauren’s paintings in the film.

Heidi Howard will also show three recent paintings coinciding with Art Cologne at Gaa Gallery Project Space, Cologne, located at Große Brinkgasse 8, 50672. The exhibition will be open daily, April 23 - 30, 11am - 6pm. Closed Tuesday, April 25. Opening reception Sunday, April 23 from 11am - 4pm.
