This event has ended.

Gallery d’Arte presents a solo exhibition Blurry Scene: Taegyu Lim.

In Taegyu Lim’s static landscapes, a combination of a quite bright light and blurry colors bring his work into a high maturity onto the canvas. Many of his paintings use white traditional sand or clay and other natural local materials to create delicate variations in texture and granularity. His patterns are also created through finely detailed textures and unique brush stroke which represent the mood of light and the emotions revealed by natural light and colors.

His paintings are a joyful exploration of very tiny human figures in his works and connect with the heart-warming memories and feelings we all have of moving through this world.

Taegyu Lim received his Ph. D. in Oriental Philosophy from Sungkyunkwan University and his MFA and BFA from MFA in Oriental Painting, Hongik University in Korea. He currently lives in Korea and continues his artistic journey by creating art works and teaching Fine Arts in the University.
