“Interludes: Your Participation is Required” Exhibition

Interludes is an ongoing program at Kustera Projects, in the interstice of scheduled exhibitions. These programs consist of autonomous statements without authorship of a single artist or group of artists. Where galleries, museums and auction houses base the value of works of art on name recognition, Interludes showcases art for art’s sake. Programs will often have a community component and may include but are not limited to pop up and performance elements often blurring the lines of what is and what is not art.
Interlude No. 1 ‘Your Participation is Required’ is an interactive exhibition whereby the viewers are invited to complete the works in progress. A series of painted chalkboard walls each consisting of either partial texts or partial imagery are determined by the viewer’s choice of words and markings.
