Art making and advertising are often perceived as disparate forces but their core practices are inextricably linked. Every work of art is the product of a rigorous creative process. That inner dialogue is not explicit in the resulting object but is integral to the act of making. For every campaign, multitudes of ideas are explored and abandoned before the pivotal thought is reached that shapes the visual language of a brand. That is the foundation upon which thjnk new york has built its agency: “One single thought can change everything.”
In celebration of its inaugural year of operations in the US, thjnk new york is pleased to present “The Best Thought I’ve Had,” a group exhibition featuring artists from New York City and beyond who represent the fundamental beliefs that drive thjnk’s creative mission. Each artist will present new works that embody a fresh idea discovered through their creative processes. Since its inception, thjnk has served as a platform for artists to generate ideas and present innovative work. thjnk now seeks to reinforce its ongoing collaboration with artists through new partnerships in New York City.

Featured artists include Anne Senstad, Elias Wessel, Skewville, Jen Yu, Elizabeth Vallenilla, Kate McCammon, Will Laren, Rubio, Lesley Kuschner, Gilles Guilbert, Zach Hyman, Scott Rudd, Walker Seydell, Rubin415, Hannah Hill, Suzanne Levesque and James Gallagher.
