ART 101 brings the 12th season to a close with a very special exhibition, Arguments Against Life in Slow Motion, new work by Morton Lichter.
Undaunted by severe physical limitations, Lichter has continued his impressive output of energetic paintings. Colors, images and motion explode from the canvas . The artist seems invincible; the work highly personal.
In the words of Tomi Ungerer, “(It)…reflects integrity. He lives through his canvas…a purist among painters, he can be classified as an endangered species.
“He does not start with the preconceived idea of what he will draw out of himself. To one single element he adds another and another one, giving his subconscious a free flow.”
