“EARTH SOS” Exhibition
Flomenhaft
This event has ended.
Curated by Marcia Annenberg and Eleanor Flomenhaft
This exhibit seeks to highlight our imminent climate emergency. Dr. James Hansen, former Director, NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies, predicted the floods and droughts plaguing our nation 28 years ago, in his first Congressional address. American media, instead of educating the public, spreads misinformation and doubt on science, scientists and the scientific method. We no longer have a cushion of time in which to act. At stake is the exquisite beauty and balance of the ecosystems on which we depend. It will be our generation that makes a difference in these perilous times.
- Marcia Annenberg, Co-Curator, EARTH SOS
The goal of this exhibition is to portray art that awakens the public and to celebrate the 178 countries who signed the Paris Climate Treaty in 2016. The works on view are by 15 artists who are passionate about the degradation of our environment and the future for us and generations yet unborn. Together we are combining our efforts and struggling to save us all from an ecological apocalypse.
