This event has ended.

Pratt Manhattan Gallery presents Feminism Is Politics!, an exhibition-inquiry into what is conceptualized by feminists and queer/lesbians in the 21st century as New Feminism. It features video, performance works and art activist projects that address the feminist position in action and redefine the notion of “political” within the new millennium’s paradigm of uncertainty and precarity. Feminism Is Politics! is curated by New York-based curator and art critic Olga Kopenkina.

The exhibition will open with a reception on the evening of September 27th, with a panel discussion moderated by Martha Wilson, the Founding Director of Franklin Furnace, with panelists Olga Kopenkina, Tanja Ostojić, Mujeres Públicas and YES! Association / Föreningen JA!. Performance by Tanja Ostojić entitled “Misplaced Women?” will follow the panel discussion.

The artists featured are:
- Pauline Boudry/Renate Lorenz
