This event has ended.

Studio10 presents Narratives of Enigma, an exhibition of Elliott Green and David Brody’s work. For the first time ever in Bushwick, Improvisational Abstraction collides with Metaphor and Landscape, from two distinct perspectives, to cause a singularly ecstatic form of intracranial Twister. The artists will show new paintings and a collaborative video/painting.

Elliott Green had his first one-person show in New York at Hirschl & Adler Modern in 1989, and since then has shown at Fawbush, Postmasters, Tibor de Nagy and D’Amelio Terras. He has received a John Simon Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship, a Pollock-Krasner Grant, was a Rome Prize Fellow in 2011-12, and most recently a guest at Yaddo. He was a member of Team SHaG, with Amy Sillman and David Humphrey. He currently lives and makes paintings in Athens, NY.

David Brody’s most recent solo painting shows have been at Pierogi and Sometimes Works of Art. His digital animation 8 Ecstasies was installed at Pierogi/The Boiler in 2014. Brody’s animations have been included in programs at The National Gallery of Art in Washington, MoMA, The Reina Sofia Museum, and the Centre Pompidou. He writes for Artcritical, Bomb Magazine, and other publications.
