This event has ended.

Possible Blueprint features the recent work of Elizabeth Ferrill and Michael Krueger. Ferrill and Krueger employ collage, drawing, painting, stencil and woodworking in a series of works that explore themes of randomness, mundanity, and carelessness contradicted by meticulous craftsmanship. On the surface, Ferrill’s pristine paintings and sculptures initially reference banal street images and industrial objects, only hinting at the turmoil percolating beneath the ordinary. Krueger’s works, grounded in American culture and art history, engages in multi-directional thinking, narrative, even mythology. Beneath the polished exteriors of Possible Blueprint, one senses meaning dissolving into chaos, an experience that can simultaneously be perceived as thoughtful and thoughtless. The seemingly simple nature of their compositions is purposeful; in a world caught in constant crisis, the fostering of process allows for some respite and humanity. Possible Blueprint invites contemplation and asks the viewer to address the stupefying worlds Ferrill and Krueger make.
