Cara Gallery presents the work of two New York based artists. The exhibition displays a series of paintings by Alessandro Del Pero and sculptures by James Dinerstein.
Alessandro Del Pero’s Wired paintings will offer viewers a chance to step into the mind of the artist and explore the possibilities of abstraction. Using rooms as the subject matter, Del Pero reveals how the contrast of light and dark can create a conversation within the mind. He uses light to show what is usually hidden in the darkness: cracked floors and peeling paint bring another reality into existence.
James Dinerstein Newtown Creek Series sculptures will be presented in a way that allows you to experience them in all of their forms. Having both abstract and human-like qualities, these sculptures have the ability to transform as you move around them. Dinerstein has successfully made these heavy concrete works look like lightly draped fabric, curving and twisting as if blowing in the wind.
