This event has ended.

Anthony Philip Fine Art presents a solo exhibition of new paintings by Kansas City artist Lisa Lala. Known for an often reckless painting style and explorations of her internal and external worldview through the use of impasto, her work deals with personal reflection and the transcendence of the mundane.

From the physical space of her cliff-side studio, Lisa Lala explores the larger, intangible questions of our existence in an attempt to re-humanize painting. Her work connects to the white space, the peace and exuberance of our most contemplative moments. While known primarily for her paintings, Lala’s practice also includes sculpture, light art, and installations.

Lala was born in California to artistic parents who encouraged her instincts from an early age. She began her career in 2003, quickly becoming one of Kansas City’s most recognized painters. To date, she has participated in over 40 solo and group exhibits, coast to coast. This is her second solo exhibit in New York City.
