This event has ended.

The George Adams Gallery presents a group exhibition ‘Flat Earth Conspiracy,’ featuring work by Kathryn Goshorn, Lino Lago, Paul Rouphail and Alexi Worth, which address the ‘conspiracy’ of illusion in painting. Kathryn Goshorn uses various materials to build up her paintings into bas-reliefs; Lino Lago and Paul Rouphail appropriate photographic imagery and collaging techniques to undermine perceived depth while Alexi Worth uses stencils and layering to build up forms, simultaneously flattening and exaggerating space.

Kathryn Goshorn earned her BFA at the Univerisity of Georgia, Athens and her MFA at the New York Academy of Art where she was a 2016 Chubb Fellow. She lives and works in Brooklyn.

Lino Lago earned his degree at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He lives and works between Vilnius, Lithuania and Madrid, Spain, and is represented by the George Adams Gallery in New York and by Galeria Dua2 in Madrid.

Paul Rouphail earned his BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University and his MFA from RISD. He lives and works in Philadelphia and is currently a Teaching Fellow at the Maryland Institute in Baltimore.

Alexi Worth earned his BA at Yale University and his MFA from Boston University School of Fine Art. He lives and works in Brooklyn and is represented by DC Moore Gallery in New York
