The National Arts Club presents acclaimed Cuban-born artist Elsa Mora in a exhibition of new works.
Challenged by a family history of poverty, mental illness and dysfunction, Mora grew up in Holguin, Cuba. In 2000 she was awarded the prestigious UNESCO - Aschberg Bursaries for Artists in Paris. Her art has been exhibited internationally and she has served as a visiting artist at The Art Institute of Chicago, The Art Institute of Boston and San Diego State University. She was a featured subject in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and other publications.
With Timeline, the artist examines her surreal personal journey and the surprising lessons that have come along the way.
