This event has ended.

Embracing the cultural histories of glassmaking, cooking and crafting, Erica Rosenfeld’s work celebrates community-centric, obsessive, labor-intensive ritual. Over the past eight years she has collected tens of thousands of objects and set to order them in her studio, which she describes as ‘my Eden.’ Currently showing is a room-size installation of discreet topographical structures, which are fixed or loosely arranged accumulations of multiples ranging in form from a single exquisite Mirrored Alabaster Cloud to piles of pink blown-glass lemons entitled Like Remembering a Dream the Day After… Rosenfeld characterizes it as a ‘shrine to a dream.’
Rosenfeld received a BA in Fine Art from Kenyon College. Her hybrid artistic practice has centered on the performative, sculptural and social aspects of glass and food-making. She is the co-founder of the performance collective Burnt Asphalt Family with whom she has performed throughout the United States including at the Corning Museum of Glass and the Chrysler Museum of Art.
