This event has ended.

Kaleidoscope the a group print exhibition was inspired by the etymological roots of the show’s title. Kaleidoscope is derived from three ancient Greek words, Kalos, “meaning beautiful or of quality”, Edios, “meaning that which is seen: the form, shape, and fashion”, and Skopéō, “meaning to examine.”

Kaleidoscope is an examination of beautiful forms. It is also about perspective and the shared spirit between the artist and the art enthusiast; the nature of one placing their point of view along with themselves on display for all to see. It is an observation of vulnerability, honesty, and how we reconcile ourselves with the world around us.

The exhibition features over 20 emerging painters, photographers, collagists, illustrators, graffiti writers, and multimedia artists. The exhibition also includes a special live performance art installation from multimedia artist, and Asap Rocky’s new art director, Robert Gallardo. Examining the topic of cultural appropriation, Robert is converting the annex room of the gallery into a portal of sorts—allowing visitors to peek or kaleidoscope into contemporary Millennial American culture.
