Fred Torres presents artist, Olivia Boudet second solo exhibition with Fred Torres Gallery in Chelsea.

Over the past 24 years Olivia Boudet has developed an extensive vocabulary using color, shape and form. Deceptively simple, her reductive minimalist process refers also to Giorgio Morandi and Agnes Martin both who worked a lifetime to elevate the stature of the beautifully simple.
Her imagined skyward reaching shapes are extremely delicate in a way that seem too perfect for this world. Handled with extreme deftness her hard-edged forms and pastel hued surfaces are both aggressively assertive yet simultaneously shy.
Enlarging on her previous efforts in size and scale working throughout 2014 - 2015, her new paintings exude an exquisite shimmering atmosphere with and through the light of presence. Fred Torres is proud to present this remarkable selection of Olivia Boudet’s work.
Olivia Boudet was born in Nice France, lives and works in New York City since 1989.
