The next show at the Con Artist Collective gallery is a new installment of Epic Epoch, our truly epic, in-house residency program. Earlier this year, more than 250 artists applied to Epic Epoch to receive juried portfolio evaluations and be eligible for free artist representation, membership to the Con Artist Collective, or a fully funded, three month New York City residency with access to the collective’s shared workspace.
Our first resident is Manolo Rodriguez, a Chicago-based young artist whose work explores modern technology, retro sci-fi kitsch, technical drawings, and intersections between art and nature. In his words, his collages, installations, and altered photographs “seem to provide rational solutions to nonexistent problems”. This solo show presents new work created during his stay at the Collective.
