This event has ended.

Multidisciplinary British artist Luke Jerram’s extraordinary artworks, installations and acclaimed public performances have been experienced by literally millions of viewers around the world.

From July 13th – August 28th Heller Gallery will present Jerram’s third NYC exhibition exploring phenomena beyond the reach of the human eye. Glass Virology focuses on the viruses and bacteria at the root of deadly diseases such as smallpox, HIV and SARS. By creating exquisite transparent glass renderings Jerram makes the invisible, visible. Visually compelling, but intellectually ominous, the artworks create a complex tension between their undeniable beauty and what they represent.

Luke Jerram’s glass sculptures are held in public and private collections in the United States, Europe and Asia including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY; Chrysler Museum of Art, VA; Corning Museum of Glass, NY; Museum of Glass, WA; Arkansas Arts Center, AR; Chazen Museum, WI; Alexander Tutsek Foundation, Germany; The Wellcome Collection, England; Cosmo Caixa, Spain; University of Southampton, England; Bristol City Museum, England; Phaeno Science Center, Germany; and Shanghai Museum of Glass, China.
