This event has ended.

Anemographs: Collaboration with the Wind, an exhibition of drawings created “in collaboration with the wind” by internationally acclaimed artist Kristin Jones.

The exhibition runs through May 10 and offers a rare insight into Jones’ studio practice, an intimate glance into the artist’s dialogue with nature and invisible forces.

Fleeting marks of the wind, on leaves, grasses and branches will fill the gallery.
Drawings are created with elements of moving water and shifting air currents. The artist creates the circumstance and instruments to make the passage of time and render unseen forces visible.

This highly personal exhibition occurs almost simultaneously with the upcoming Biennale di Venezia, at which Jones will be presenting TEVERETERNO (ETERNAL TIBER) in the Italian Pavilion as part of a larger installation by artist William Kentridge, which highlights his grand-scale project for the river, TRIUMPHS and LAMENTS, scheduled to premiere in April 2016.

Kristin Jones is the founder and director of TEVERETERNO. For 10 years she has worked to bring international attention and artists to the restoration and revival of the river; using art as the catalyst, bringing it out of the museum or concert hall and into the public domain, using familiar spaces in new ways.

The rich and wide-ranging catalog of achievements by this multi-talented artist are too numerous to record here. Her installations have been exhibited internationally in both private and public venues. Her award-winning work for public spaces, created in partnership with Andrew Ginzel, is spread across New York City and throughout the country.
