This event has ended.

This exhibit showcases the works done during his residency at Window At 125 this past winter.
There is a limited residency at The Ivy Brown Gallery where Jamel will be painting every Wednesday from 2:30pm - 6:30pm.

For three weeks avant-garde contemporary artist Jamel Robinson gave audience to the otherwise private practice of creating art by transporting his Harlem studio to the Roger Smith Hotel’s street level artist residency window space, the Window At 125. His “Inside The Artist Studio” residency culminated with a brand new series of unique works on canvas, paper and other mediums that were shown publicly for one day before closing the following evening with a private viewing and artist talk for a select group of collectors, writers and supporters.
“By recreating the atmosphere of my studio space within the parameters of a public window display, I allowed the world a glimpse into my most vulnerable moments as an artist, which put me completely out of my comfort zone and allowed me to put trust and faith in my creative process at the same time.”
