The exhibition will consist of 45 British, American, and contemporary works of art.

The American works include a painting by Ernest Lawson (1873 – 1939) and a drawing by George Luks (1867 – 1933), both members of The Eight; watercolors by Ashcan artists Ethel Myers (1881 – 1960) and Jerome Myers (1867- 1940); vintage photomicrographs by Wilson (“Snowflake”) Bentley (1865 – 1931); and works on paper by American modernists Elie Nadelman (1882 – 1946); Mark Tobey (1890 – 1976); and Charles Prendergast (1863 – 1948).

Contemporary American works include two paintings by Robert Kulicke (1924 – 2007); a watercolor by David Levine (1926 – 2009); an oil by John Heliker (1909 – 2000); and two paintings, one of them from the Mellon collection, by Lennart Anderson (born 1928).

Among the early 19th century British watercolors exhibited are those by Richard (“Mad”) Dadd (1817 – 1886); Edward Lear (1812 – 1888); John Varley (1778 – 1842); Cornelius Varley (1781 – 1873); and Peter De Wint (1784 – 1849).

20th century British Bloomsbury works include paintings by Vanessa Bell (1879 – 1961); works on paper by Duncan Grant (1885 – 1978); Roger Fry (1866 – 1934); and Dora Carrington (1893 – 1932). British modernism is represented by a drawing by Walter Richard Sickert (1860 – 1942); vintage photographs by Charles Jones (1866 – 1959); and watercolors by Gwen John (1876 -1939).

Objects on display include 20th century American carved ice fishing decoys; and a 19th century French lay figure.
