“Framing Childhood” Exhibition
Chelsea 27 (Artemisia Gallery, Azart Gallery and MZ Urban Art)
This event has ended.
AZART Gallery presents the exhibition of five artists who have captured their personal insights, past and present, through the prism of childhood. Using a variety of techniques and materials, their works provide a stunning window of expression into the imagery of the earliest years of life.
We invite you to explore an instant of truth in black and white portraits of urban youth by stencil master Jef Aerosol, the rainbow playfulness and whimsy of fairytale stories photographed by Adrien Broom, the iridescent colors of a world made of beautiful unicorns designed by Camomile Hixon, the dreamy faces of kids growing up painted by Tifenn Python and the revival of vintage American children advertisements by Casper Smith.
In this exhibition, the artists share the reminiscence of their messages and the different ways in which they frame their ideas of innocence.
