This event has ended.

Anthony Philip Fine Art presents its inaugural exhibition, “A New Landscape: Works By Barb Flunker and Jeremy Rabus,” features recent paintings and assemblages by two emerging artists who use the classic subject of the landscape as a launchpad to explore the human experience.

Barb Flunker’s found object assemblages blend both the industrial and organic into a narrative of physical and emotional journeys in the artist’s life. Her use of balance and texture in the compositions yield a kinetic sensibility reminiscent of the movements of water. Flunker’s art has been featured most recently at Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis’s “Art:314”, in a solo show at Space Architects and in COCA’s “Hybrid Terrain” group exhibition.

Jeremy Rabus’s abstract paintings are gestural attempts to examine unpredictability and circumstance in the shaping of one’s life on an almost tectonic level. Each piece is a reflection of the struggle to attain harmony and balance from an ever-shifting perspective. Rabus is an alum of Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and is represented by Hoffman LaChance Contemporary in St. Louis, MO, and James Brooks Fine Art in L.A.

This is the first New York exhibit for both artists.
