Taller Boricua Galleries of the Puerto Rican Workshop Inc. is proud to present this season’s inaugural exhibition titled Paulo Fabre — Pé Direito (Off On The Right Foot). It presents a selection of photographs by emerging artist Paulo Fabre who uses a contemporary ‘’noir’’ aesthetic expressing dramatic views of naturalism. He creates an ethereal vision as if time stands still between viewer, subject and geographical distances. Paulo Fabre is a constant resident of both New York City and of São Paulo.
Curated by Luis R. Cancel, the artist, arts administrator and former Director of The Bronx Museum of the Arts, this exhibit is also a personal journey. Mr. Cancel writes about Fabre in the accompanying essay, ‘’Having shed his professional corporate skin, the emergence of the artist / photographer is well underway.’’
