In her sculptures, Jean Seestadt explores ideas of projected time and our relationship with death through the use of materials including black glass, stitching, fabric and balloons.
Seestadt is a Brooklyn-based artist who completed her MFA at Hunter College in the fall of 2013. Seestadt hails from Minneapolis, MN and received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2007. Her work has been exhibited in United States and Europe, including shows in New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, Portland, Umbria, and Oxford. She has been reviewed in several publications including the Huffington Post and Brooklyn Street Art.
