Mimi Ferzt Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of works by artists Igor Vishnyakov and Alexander Zakharov, titled Beauty of the Beast. The exhibition presents a new series of digital photographs by Vishnyakov and expertly detailed miniature oil paintings on panel by Zakharov. The exhibition was curated to reflect an artist’s vision of drawing distinctions between the natural beauty of the animal vs. that of the inanimate object such as a luxurious Fabergé egg or a simple stuffed toy. This menagerie of creatures they captured through different mediums allows the individual animals to become instantly objectified, soliciting the notion of a spectator sport to the viewer.
