This event has ended.

Born in 1987 in Saudi Arabia, Maha Attia grew up in Egypt before moving to New Jersey at the age of 19. She brought with her a love for nature, romanticism and decorative art and combines these with her passion for Illustration and East Asia Art. She often uses references and photographs to approach her work, aiming to create an emotional authenticity rather than a literal accuracy.
She draws inspiration from indie music, Asian/Buddhist cultures, Tanaka Poem and social experiences: Also, deep covered up need to be cradled by something extraordinary. She has been studying Asian Art for the past three years, influenced by Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Indian Traditional arts and poem. Attia works with Ink, sumi ink, markers and Gouache on ricepaper, koshi paper and wood.
