This event has ended.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac, first published in 1792 during the first term of George Washington, has always watched the weather. In ZerØ Weather, Contemporary Artists examine Winter. The zeroth order corresponds to a position preceding the first. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Winter, the coldest season of the year, has a unique quality of light and presents a stimulating opportunity for the Artist’s imagination.
Winter’s frigid temperatures may chill the bones, but snow and ice lend a magical air to any landscape. This phase of the natural cycle puts everything around us to sleep and lets nature rest and recuperate before its Spring once again. These artworks illustrate Winter’s inherent beauty or lack thereof, while portraying both the coldest of day or night, as well as the magical warmth.

“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.” –Albert Camus
