Color has played a major role in his paintings, and Lim uses an abundance of vibrant color scheme on the overlapped squares in all his paintings to achieve a playful and visually dynamic composition. In his new series “The Meaning of Color”, he demonstrates that color and form create an inner dialogue with the observer. Depending on the paintings the emotions are pure and universal. His images are wordless yet speak to all. He perceives his work as visual conversations which can overlap or imply depending on its structure. As with ordinary conversation his work can amble seemingly without a care in the world or exclaim.
